Sir like certain
as if i know-it-all and you nothing
curt and curtailing
but truth is i’m uncertain
Sir like surrender
if i’m too assertive
it can be a disservice
like you can’t be discerning
Sir like certified
blue ticked and verified
Sir like surveillance
Mister Muscle on the surface
i’m no Sir to you
i’m no serf to the system
but i’ll serve if i’m needed
whatever your circumstance
you could call me michaël
and we’d exist in parallel
with respect earned and mutual
we would then be equal
in our sense of self
